Having won a design competition for the redevelopment of an $80M parcel of land that includes the iconic Viper Room venue, Morphosis Architects have created an eye-catching modern structure to house a new mixed-use development. At 15 stories tall, a dramatic ribbon-windowed structure clamps down, like a viper biting its prey, on the more modernist tower component of the building. The project will comprise of a 115 key hotel, 31 condos, and 11 affordable housing units, along with retail space on the ground floor. West Hollywood staple, The Viper Room, which was acquired as part of the land purchase, will be given a new home in Morphosis’ new structure.
